    COURSE OUTLINE SPECIFICATIONS:

    Class profile: Journeyman Level, Single-ply Roofers

    Language:  Spanish and English Speaking,  With Conversational Working Comprehension Of English

    Lead Instructor:  NRCA's Jon Goodman:  Curricula Developer and ProCert  Lead Assessor

    Estimated Class size:  16-20 people (maximum of 30)
    Duration:  8 hours (1 day)
    Goal:  Eexpand conversational competence of skilled/experience low-slope roofers concerning national benchmark technical details and areas of roofing industry product advancement.
    Learning Objectives:  Upon completion of this class the participants should be able to:

    • Read NRCA Low-slope Construction Details
    • Describe common installation mistakes across critical roofing component details
    • Cite product development in low-slope roofing

    3. Common Mistakes
    4. Importance of national benchmarks.
    5. Product design considerations
    6. Trends in the roofing industry

    Note:   This class will not develop or practice roofing skills.     There will be no hands-on component to the class.
